Ink Innovation and Luggage Logistics partner to link baggage operations to passenger delivery
A new collaboration brings together two aviation technology specialists to deliver more connected, data-driven baggage management for airlines and airports.
Alicante, Spain, 21 July 2026 — Ink Innovation, a travel technology company specialising in airline service delivery, and Luggage Logistics, a leading provider of baggage and ULD management solutions, have announced a partnership that extends the capabilities available to their joint customers.
The partnership combines Ink's modular, cloud-native service delivery platform with Luggage Logistics' Load&Track Baggage Management System, deployed in more than 250 airports across six continents. Together, the two companies expand the range of tools available to airlines, airports, and ground handlers managing the full baggage journey.
The announcement comes as the industry faces a defining moment in baggage operations. Mishandling rates fell 23% in 2025, yet the problem still costs airlines $6.3 billion a year¹ — with transfer baggage accounting for 39% of all cases and delayed bags driving 70% of operational costs. Industry-wide compliance with IATA Resolution 753 has passed the 50% mark, with full implementation targeted for 2027. The gap between progress and expectation is closing, but it is not closed.
Both companies have built their products around the same conviction: better data, shared in real time across every touchpoint, reduces mishandling, improves the passenger experience, and makes baggage operations financially viable at scale.
“For nearly 20 years, Luggage Logistics has helped customers transform their baggage operations, just as airlines have transformed the passenger experience. Too often, the two have run in separate worlds. This partnership changes that. Ink brings deep expertise in how passengers move through the airport; we know every step of the baggage journey, and together we’re connecting the two.” — Adam Dalby, CEO, Luggage Logistics.
“The best partnerships happen when two companies solve the same problems in different spaces and find the overlap. Luggage Logistics knows baggage operations inside out. We know passenger processing. Our integration gives airlines a choice, which is something the industry desperately needs.” — Shawn Richards, CEO and Co-founder, Ink Innovation.
The integration connects Ink's service delivery layer, covering departure control, check-in, biometrics, and ancillary services, with Luggage Logistics' end-to-end baggage reconciliation, ULD management, and the newly launched Aviation Message Core, a modern alternative to legacy Type B messaging infrastructure. For customers of both companies, the partnership means a broader, more integrated solution without the complexity of managing separate vendor relationships.
Luggage Logistics, founded in 2007 and an IATA Strategic Partner, brings deep operational expertise across reconciliation, tracking, and data management. Ink, with over 20 years of industry experience, brings its platform to bear on the retailing and passenger experience layer, combining support for IATA ONE Order and PNRs, Digital ID, biometrics, and payments.
As airlines accelerate toward Modern Airline Retailing, the two companies see a clear opportunity: baggage can no longer be excluded from the retail conversation. It is a core service — one that passengers expect to be tracked, managed, and communicated in real time.
